“This is the first horn in years that has awakened my interest in “the trumpet.”

“I’m usually quite skeptical leading up to trying “new” instruments that are supposed to be the answer to a player’s dream. I admit that I had no idea what to expect before trying your horn, but something made me agree to do it. A part of this had to do with Chuck McAlexander being involved. We’ve worked together so closely over many years and have developed a strong “no bullshit” relationship. Whatever the reason, I’m glad I agreed to do the test.
Regardless of whether your trumpet is every player’s dream horn, I really liked it—and I haven’t been motivated to say that about a horn in many years. Maybe because I am just not a horn “geek.” Without trying to describe this or that detail, etc., I am fascinated by it and disappointed that this didn’t come my way in my 50’s or 60’s when i had many years of playing before me. I would love to play the horn when you are able to say, “This is it—I’ve done it!” Who knows if that perfect horn will be to my liking. But I sure want to be around and still playing so I can try it when you are finished with it. This is the first horn in years that has awakened my interest in “the trumpet.”
So, you are welcome, Chuck. It was my pleasure on two important levels—the horn and bringing me together with Mr. McAlexander again. I was glad to do it.” ~Master Trumpeter, Marvin Stamm
